Better lives for our Elderly
For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,
Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; And I will bear you and I will deliver you.
Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers,
“You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I wi’You shall rise up before the grayheaded and honor the aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the LORD
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.
You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.
Caring for Elderly – For families of aging loved ones, those words — often offered by those who don’t grasp the intricacies of elder care — can sting. But the issue of how best to help people in a fragile stage of life is critical.
Giving does not require you always to be thinking about how much is this going to cost me. We want you to think that you have unlimited resources to give. How about 30m or 1hr of your time to volunteer into the lives our elderly community. You and the most important resource we can give them.
The joy of the conversations and the laughter and smiles are priceless.
Be someone who has compassion for those who need the most compassion.
